Andrew Staniland - Composer for Film, Orchestra & Creative Media
Andrew Staniland is an award-winning Canadian composer working across film, orchestral music, opera, chamber music, and interdisciplinary creation. His music has been praised by The New Yorker as "alternately beautiful and terrifying" and has been commissioned by many of Canada's leading arts organizations. Recent screen credits include The King Tide, Sweetland, The Righteous, SKEET, and A Small Fortune. Combining cinematic storytelling, contemporary orchestral writing, electronics, and innovative sound design, Andrew creates music that brings emotional depth, atmosphere, and a distinctive artistic voice to every project. Based in Newfoundland and Labrador, he collaborates with filmmakers, producers, performers, and creative partners across Canada and internationally. .
